January 2005
PRT was founded
- export of a gas phase pilot plant
- patent licenses sold to a leading PO company (“draught reactor” and “tubular (slugging) reactor”)
November 2006
PRT found a new home under the roof of PROFILAN GmbH & Co KG, in Legden, Germany.
100m2 laboratory and 80m2 out-door facilities with the focus on
- first fluidization studies
- UHMWPE processing
- gas / liquid purification units
- catalytic polymerization of ethylene
2008
move to Heek, rental of 300m2 area
- fluidization studies
- RAM extrusion scaling up to 100mm rods
2010
move to Ahaus, Wessum, 1800m2, 600m2 research hall;
- large transparent fluidization units in operation (1m diameter, 3000m3/h)
2011
erection of a second research hall for pilot plants, 600m2
- design and manufacturing of high pressure laboratory equipment for the Johannes-Kepler University, Linz,
Austria
- guest professor ship of Prof. Weickert at JKU
2012
400 kg UHMWPE produced in PRT’s slurry pilot plant
2013
high temperature-co-polymerization reactor operational
first contract with a leading Bio Science group
2014
pilot plant completion: 800-Liter stirred tank, 1000-L Hosokawa vacuum dryer; wiped film evaporator
